This class was great and have already recommended it to other friends. Myself and 3 other family members went with varying watercolor and artistic experience. Alma put everyone at ease straight away and taught us the basics, letting us have a practice before starting the birds of paradise piece. She is a great teacher and was able to spend time helping us individually to improve our technique but also give hints and tips to the whole group. Very talented artist and teacher. The only downside about the class was it wasn't long enough! Would love to go back and do another class!

This class was okay overall but there were a few ways in which I felt it was lacking. There were no birds of paradise plants present which we were meant to be painting and no photos of it either. As I don’t know what it looks like it was very hard to know what to paint. Sometimes the tutor would get the photo up on his phone and show us but this felt very uncomfortable and inconvenient for everyone to have to keep asking him to show us a reference picture on his phone. Also it was an incredibly basic class. We didn’t even cover color theory which was one of the main reasons I wanted to attend the class. I’d say overall there was little instruction and I personally would’ve appreciated a more.  I’d say the class was overpriced for what the experience was but generally the tutor was nice and the studio space was a nice environment.

Experience painting in a real artist's painting studio at Wimbledon Art Studios. All professional-grade materials are included, and you'll receive full assistance in completing your piece. The session will commence with a couple of warm-up exercises. With the guidance of our accomplished art instructors, you'll gain valuable insights into materials, techniques, and contemporary approaches to painting. This is really an extraordinary class painting from a perspective to which we wouldn't ordinarily see.  Hover high above a tropical beach and paint the sand, sea and trees, adding people and surfboards at the end.  Really good fun and I highly recommend it.

This "one-to-one" art coaching is a good startup to develop artistic skills under professional guidance. The aim is to nurture that creative interest as you blossom as an artist. This is a bespoke study plan for anyone aiming to complete a few small studies progressing to big canvasses. 

The coaching starts with the basics, with progressive structure in mind. The class will focus on cultivating creativity and aim to boost confidence in creating majestic work. After an assessment, I will design a project plan open to feedback and discussion essential to improving techniques & skills. 

Classes & Fees:

Option 1 -  One-Off - 3hr private art tuition perfect for a start-up with Acrylic Painting. You will be able to take home a 30 x 30cm painting. All materials included. Take home your artwork with your newfound skills after the session 

Option 2 - 9 hours 1-1 art session (3 hrs per session x 3). There will be a set of pre-exercise and introduction before starting your painting on a 60 x 60cm large canvas. This will be your main piece to be completed in 3 meetups.

The class is limited to 6 guests to guarantee that everyone receives the necessary assistance to complete their artwork.

In this class, we'll begin with engaging exercises to ignite your artistic spirit and immerse you in the creative zone. 

The second half of the class is all about bringing your vision to life. You'll delve into the captivating world of texture art as you create your masterpiece, drawing inspiration from the samples. Create with ease and freedom at our art workshop! After a morning of exploring materials and trying samples, you'll craft your texture art inspired by them. Since some materials need time to dry, you can choose to collect your artwork the next day or opt for delivery. Unleash your creativity and let your art shine! 🎨✨

You are welcome to bring along a textured art photo reference as inspiration. 

How long is the class? 6hrs 

**During the class, you'll learn:**

• How to create textures on a canvas.

• Create pleasing composition to attract more attention.

• Art medium discussion - learn types of textures and paint medium.

• Colour hunt - Choosing your correct colour palette.

• Discover unique materials that can amplify seduction of interest.

• Creating a focal point. Layering.

• Pouring techniques.

• How to use gold foil and inks.

• Finishing touch.

• Sealing & drying time.

Please note:

Finish artwork requires at least five days to dry. The painting will be sent to you via post after a week at extra cost or you're welcome to pick it up yourself.

 All the materials and tools, including a 40 x 40cm canvas create a piece of abstract texture art to take home with you. (Frames are available to purchase on the day.)

Note: 

The session will begin promptly, so please ensure you arrive at the YELLOW STUDIO, Studio 136, at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time.  Please note that the studio can only be accessed with a code, so arriving on time is essential.

Once the class starts, I won't be able to come downstairs to assist latecomers, as it wouldn't be fair to disrupt the experience for others. During the class, I won't be able to respond to texts or emails, so it's best to reach out before we begin.
